The 52nd winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Thursday 4th May 1865 over the Ditch Mile, was Siberia (3/1), a chestnut filly by Muscovite out of Figtree, owned by the 8th Duke of Beaufort. The winner won by 1 1/2 lengths in 1 minute 53 secs, with a neck back to the third. A field of 11 runners contested the race which was worth £3,550 (Equivalent to £415,400 in 2017)
